$625,000 Settlement For School Bus Driver Injured After Rear-End Collision

 A school bus driver who transports special needs children to and from school was waiting in the driveway of the school in White Plains for the teachers to come to the bus and escort the children into school. While parked in the school’s driveway, another school bus pulled up behind our client’s bus and struck her bus in the rear. Our client suffered severe spinal  and shoulder injuries as a result of the crash. Her injuries required her to undergo multiple surgeries, including a lumbar discetomy and fusion surgery as well as a surgery to repair a torn labrum in her shoulder. 

 Schulman Blitz, LLP brought a lawsuit on our client’s behalf and litigated the case in Bronx Supreme Court for many years. As trial was approaching, we agreed to participate in an out-of-court, private mediation. After many long hours at mediation, Schulman Blitz, LLP was able to procure a settlement for our client in the amount of $625,000.
