Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible applicants are currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or professional program in the United States. This includes accredited community college students, as well as high school seniors and students who possess a GED and have been accepted to or are enrolled in an accredited program.
- Dedicated to the pursuit of justice, and be able to demonstrate this commitment in their essay.
- Must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 or above.
Essay Prompt & Questions
Respond to the following questions in an essay of 1,000 words or less:
- Reflecting on your experiences, personal, academic or otherwise, can you share an instance where you witnessed or experienced injustice? How did this experience shape your decision to pursue a career in law, and how do you plan to use your legal education to address such injustices?
- The practice of law often requires a delicate balance between rigorous legal argument and compassionate client care. In your opinion, how can future lawyers maintain this balance effectively? Provide a scenario or example to illustrate your perspective.
