In May 2022, our client was a pedestrian crossing 107th Avenue in Queens, NY, when he was struck by a car. There was some dispute as to whether he was in the crosswalk
at the time of the accident.
As a result of the collision, our client sustained severe injuries, including a comminuted fracture of his femur and a fracture of his tibial shaft. These injuries required surgery, during which an external fixator and screws were inserted. External fixation for a femur fracture involves placing metal pins above and below the fracture site, with rods and clamps used to hold the pins in place externally, ensuring proper bone alignment during healing.
Blitz Law Group filed a lawsuit on behalf of our client, and as litigation progressed, Stephanie Mastrocola successfully negotiated a settlement of $500,000.
