Blitz Law Group settles case for $175,000 for 73-year-old client who fell down steps entering her apartment building.

When our client walked into her building on the upper east side of Manhattan, she fell down the three steps that were in front of the entrance to the building. As a result of the fall our client sustained a fracture to her pelvis. Justin Blitz was able to establish that the steps were in violation of the New York building code since they did not have a handrail that someone could grab onto when walking down. The case settled prior to trial at a mediation with a court mandated mediation program.
