Blitz Law Group settles case for $300,000 for client who fell through hole at paper company.

Frederick Schulman, Esq. resolved the Blitz Law Group’s client’s case for $300,000 for injuries sustained when he fell through a hole that was a missing a grate while working at a paper mill company in Staten Island, NY. Our client suffered a lateral meniscus tear of his knee that required surgery because of his fall. Blitz Law Group was able to establish a case against the company that was responsible for maintaining the grates of the paper company. When our client when to fix an issue with the paper producing machine, he stepped into the hole that he was not able to see due to foam that was the residue of the machine that produces the paper. The hole was missing the grate that covered it and there was no caution tape or warning sign informing our client that it was missing the grate. The case was resolved at a private mediation towards the end of the litigation.
