Blitz Law Group settles case for $4 Million for Iron Worker who fell from a ladder.

Justin Blitz was able to resolve our client’s case for $4,000,000 during trial for an iron worker who was erecting a building in midtown Manhattan and fell from a ladder that broken and defective. Our ironworker client suffered injuries to both of his knees when he fell from the ladder. We alleged violations of the labor law including violations of New York’s labor law sections 200 and 240. Our client was a member of the union and had been performing iron work for close to 30 years when he fell from the ladder. Our client’s knee injuries prevented him from working as an iron worker and he had to retire prematurely. After many years of litigation, the case went to trial and Justin Blitz was able to resolve the case in the middle of the trial which was taking place in the Supreme Court of Westchester County.
